Doyle Gene Ramage

Memorial services for Doyle Gene Ramage, 60, of Greenwood, will be at 2 p.m. today at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.

Mr. Ramage died of heart failure Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

A native of Leflore County, he resided here for most of his life. He attended the public schools in Schlater and Itta Bena, and also attended Holmes Community College. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. During his two tours of duty, he was awarded several medals and was service disabled. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Clara Ramage.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Weeks Ramage of Greenwood; two daughters, Tammie Pearson and René Cohen, both of Greenville, S.C.; a son, Timothy McDaniel of Greenville, Miss.; three brothers, Jessie Ramage of Galesburg, Ill., William ``Sonny'' Ramage of Tupelo and Charlie Joe Ramage of Greenwood; one sister, Shirley Newell of Flowood; and four grandchildren.

The Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate at the services.
