RUTAN, DOYLE

RUTAN, DOYLE, 80, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (June 2, 2002) at St. Anthony's Hospital. He was a St. Petersburg native and a lifelong resident. He was a retired firefighter and paramedic for the city of St. Petersburg. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park and a member of the International Association of Firefighters. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1941 to 1947.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Xuripha; three sons, Michael and Mark, both of St. Petersburg, and Mitchell, New Bern, N.C.; four daughters, Carol Rutan, Janet Rutan and Sandy Garcia, all of St. Petersburg, and Christine Olson, Lansdale, Pa.; a sister [sic sister-in-law], Barbara Rutan, Myakka City; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
