Mrs. Drue Thigpen

RAYVILLE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Drue S. Thigpen, 80, of Rayville, were at 2 p.m. today in the Calvary Baptist Church near Mangham under the direction of Brown Funeral Home of Rayville.

Mrs. Thigpen died at 5 a.m. Thursday in the Richland Parish Hospital here after a long illness.

Survivors include a son, J. J. Thigpen of Lancaster, Tex.; two step-sons, Morris Thigpen of Ball, and Herbert Thigpen of Grand Prairie, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Springfield of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Maybell Jones of Hutchins, Tex., and Mrs. Ray Rhinehart of Rayville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Raymond Smith of Salinas, Calif.; one brother, T. A. Hayes of Dry Prong; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Oglesby of Monroe, and Mrs. Ollie Brown of Ogden, Utah; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Loyd Rhinehart, Billy Trichell, Bobby Jones, Marcus Jones, E. A. Thingpen [sic Thigpen] and June Hewitt.
