D.A. Ford, 68, Dies In Jena; Funeral Is Held Near Manifest

Duncan Albert Ford, 68, of Manifest, who died Wednesday about 2 a.m. at the home of a son-in-law, Alvin Manning in Jena, was buried this (Thurs.) Morning at Oak Grove cemetery near Rhinehart, following services held at 10 o'clock at the Pisgah Baptist Church of Manifest.

The Revs. Meredith Hair and J.P. Owens conducted the final rites, with interment under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals, Jena.

Mr. Ford, who had lived some 15 years, was school janitor there. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia Ford of Manifest; three daughters, Mrs. Margie Manning of Jena, Mrs. Juanita Doughty of Rhinehart and Mrs. Ruby Vantyul of Alvin, Texas; one son, Jewel Ford of Jonesville; two brothers, Richard of Jena and Ezra of Goodpine; three sisters, Mrs. Dollie Peyton, Mrs. Liza Jane Floyd and Mrs. Rinie Richardson, all of Jena; and nine grandchildren.
