Earl Whittington
FERRIDAY (Special) -- Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the East Jena Baptist Church for 24 year old Earl Benjamin Whittington, victim of an oil field accident Tuesday at Knoxville, Miss., near Natchez.
Mr. Whittington was a resident of Jena.
Officiating at the rites today will be the Rev. Mayo and Bro. Edward Smith, with interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday. The body will be in state at the home of the parents of the deceased until time of services.
Surviving Mr. Whittington are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Whittington, Jena; three brothers, Thomas William, of Jonesville, Joe James, Fernwood, Miss., and W. H. Whittington, of Jena; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilkinson, Natchez, and Miss Patsie Nell Whittington, Jena.
Pallbearers will be cousins of the deceased.
