Earl C. Causey

Earl C. Causey, 82, of Gloster, died Dec. 15, 2011, at Liberty Community Living Center.

Visitation was 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones Family Funeral Services of McComb until services there at 3. The Rev. David Whitehead officiated. Burial was in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Causey was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Franklin County, the son of Clayton and Myrtis Whittington Causey.

He was retired from the U.S. Forestry Service in Meadville after 32 years.

Mr. Causey was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lillian Maulden.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Peggy Wilkinson Causey of the Busy Corner community; two sons, James Causey of Atlanta and John Causey of the Mars Hill community; one daughter, LaDonna Davis of St. Francisville, La.; one brother and sister-in-law, C.H. and Helen Causey of Baker, La.; one sister and brother-in-law, Rheva and Carl Hancock of Ferriday, La.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were James Causey, John Causey, Ken Causey, Will Causey, Jack Causey and Brandon Davis.
