Earl Childre; Blast Victim
Graveisde [sic Graveside] services were held today at Woodlawn Cemetery for the second person to die after a gas stove explosion at the Lasalle Hotel last Sunday.
Earl Childre, 48, died of burns yesterday. He was a retired master mechanic, who came to Miami from Atlanta, Ga., 15 years ago.
Childre is survived by his wife, Martha, three daughters, and three brothers.
The first victim of the explosion Olivia Cunningham, 50, died Thursday. Thomas Powell, 48, is still hospitalized.
The King Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
