HUTHNANCE -- At the family residence, Glenmora, La., at 7 p.m., Monday, July 15, 1935, Earl Huthnance, aged 52 years. Deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, Earl Thompson Hathnance [sic Huthnance], Lake Charles, La., and Harry Huthnance, Glenmora; one daughter, Miss Varone Huthnance, Glenmora; two brothers, Alfred Huthnance and John William Huthnance, Colfax, La.; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Phillips, Montgomery, La.; one grandson, William Branan Huthnance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson Huthnance.
Mr. Huthnance was born near Colfax on July 15, 1883. He moved to Glenmora on June 6, 1913, where he was secretary of the Louisiana Sawmill Company, until the mill cut out in 1929. He then became president of the Bank of Glenmora, where he served for four years.
Mr. Huthnance has been ill since March 19 of this year. He was a prominent business man of Glenmora for many years. He was a Mason.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at the family residence. Interment will be made in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, La.
