Earl James “Jim” Rhinehart

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Memorial Services for Mr. Rhinehart will be held Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at Grace Community United Methodist Church 9400 Ellerbe Road. Rev. Sione Tu'uta will be officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. in the church Welcome Area.

Mr. Rhinehart entered into rest Friday, March 9 at the age of 85. Born in Cement City, Michigan, he had resided in Shreveport for 45 years. He was a World War II Veteran. Prior to retirement, he was a salesman for General Electric Medical Systems.

Mr. Rhinehart served as a volunteer for the Literacy Volunteers of America, Highland Hospital and held membership in Ellerbe Road United Methodist Church, the Elks Club, Masons, and Shriners.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Norma Jean Price, Garnet Swift and Ruth Dubois; two daughters, Sandra Sue Rhinehart Sharp and husband, Dennis; Paula Kathleen Rhinehart Lewis and husband, Eric; 4 granddaughters, Sheila Lester and husband Jeff; Shari Seling and husband, Scott; Tiffany Brazelton and husband Kendal and Megan Lynch and fiancé Robert Streetman; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Paul Rushing, our Agape Hospice “family,” and all the special people who gave of themselves to provide gentle, compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children or Agape Hospicecare of Shreveport.
