WHITTINGTON, EARL

Died Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Age 48, he was a retired pipefitter at Humble Oil & Refining Co., a native of Meadville, Miss., and a resident of Route 4, Baton Rouge.

Body at Hollabaugh-Spindle Mortuary until 9:15 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at North Side Baptist Church, Denham Springs, at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Fred Forrester. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, the former Tennie Slaven of Baton Rouge; five sons, Kenneth W. Whittington of Lafayette, Elvin D., Gary W., Frances G. and Michael L. Whittington, all of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Nadeau and Miss Susan D. Whittington, both of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. J. D. Causey of Meadville, Miss., Mrs. Adam Terry of Ponchatoula, Mrs. Clinton Causey and Mrs. Joe Flynn, both of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Truley Whittington of Meadville, Miss., D. C. Whittington of Port Vincent, Jessie and Morgan Whittington, both of Denham Springs; three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
