Earlie Mercer
WINNFIELD - Services for Earlie Mercer will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Southern, with the Revs. Rayford Higgs and Kenneth Tarver officiating. Burial will be in the Cross Roads Cemetery, Tullos.
Mercer, 86, of Tullos died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in the Winn Parish Medical Center.
He was a retired towerman for the U.S. Forest Service and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Mercer and Julius Mercer, both of Winnfield; one sister, Lonie Wilson of Ball; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jim Southall, Wayne Smith, Gene Sweat, William Jones, Bill Culp and Brent McDowell.
