Earline Whittington

Earline Whittington, 93, a longtime resident of Amite County, died Nov. 14, 2004, at Wilkinson County Nursing Center in Centreville.

Visitation began at noon today at New Hope Methodist Church until services there at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Toney officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Gloster. Brown Funeral Home of Gloster is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Whittington was born July 6, 1911, in Amite County to Lafayette Whittington and Delilah Strange.

She was a homemaker and was a member of New Hope Methodist Church.

Mrs. Whittington was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sam; and five sisters, Essie, Johnnie, Ruby, Beulah and Donnis.
