Earvin Cobb

Earvin Cobb, 78, died 11/17/2011, at his residence in Summit, MS. Visitation is Friday, November 18, 2011, 5:00-8:00 P M at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, MS. Funeral services are 2:00 P M Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Johnston Station Baptist Church in Summit with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Cobb will lie in state Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 at the church.

Mr. Cobb was born June 13, 1933 to Bythel Lindsey Cobb and Allie Bowlin Cobb. He was a former sewing machine mechanic. He was a member of Johnston Station Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School and Church Training director. He was a Army veteran.

Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers: Carl, Lindsey, Ray, Thomas, James and Marvin and 4 sisters: Gladys McGuffie, Mildred Wallace, Lena Mae Brister, and Thitus Cody.
