Cedar Lane Rancher Dies
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, for long-time
Cedar Lane resident Eaton Grisham, who died Saturday.
Grisham, 81, had been taken from his home by ambulance to Matagorda
General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
He had been an active farmer and rancher up until his death.
Grisham had been a resident of the Cedar Lane area all his life and
he was very active in the community.
He was also a deacon in the Cedar Lane Baptist Church.
A charter member of the Soil & Water Conservation District Association,
Grisham was named the `outstanding cattleman' in Matagorda County for 1965.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Cedar Lane Baptist Church and
interment will follow at the Cedarvale Cemetery.

GRISHAM
Eaton Grisham, 81, of the Cedar Lane area, was pronounced dead at the
Matagorda General Hospital April 14.
Survivors include: two sons,
Richard Eaton Grisham and James H. Grisham both of Bay City; two
brothers, Grayson and Harold of Hondo; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Post
of Edinburg, Mrs. Violet Morehead of Angleton, Mrs. Thelma Bridges of
Hondo, and Mrs. Marjorie Savage of Bay City; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the
Cedar Lane Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Chochran officiating.
Interment will be at the Cedarvale Cemetary [sic Cemetery].
