ED NOLAN STEPHENS

Services for Ed Nolan Stephens, 69, of Pineville will be held Thursday, December 28, 2000 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Laird. The Rev. Russell will officiate. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Gloster, Miss. under the direction of Laird.

Stephens died Sunday, December 24, at his residence.

He was born October 2, 1931 in Wisner to Ed and Eunice Lee Guice Stephens. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from International Paper Company in 1996 after 41 1/2 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Stephens; two sons, Terry Stephens and Butch Reeves; his parents and a sister, Patsy Stephens.

Survivors include two daughters, Amarlyllis ``Ann'' Hardy, Ferriday and Susan Hinson, Pineville; three sons, Nolan Stephens, Vidalia; Billy Reeves, Pineville; Charles Reeves, Natchez; three sisters, Edna Rio, Bastrop; Jeanette Wingate and Jo Ann Pierce both of Bridge City, Texas and one brother, Keith Stephens, Sicily Island.

Pallbearers were Robert Hardy, Bill Wall, Patrick Stephens, Charlie Reeves, Gary Del Rio and Stephen Del Rio. Honorary pallbearers were John Hardy, Charles Reeves, David Hinson and Daniel Stephens.
