EDITH MAY PARKER HILBUN PIERCE
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Edith Mae Parker Hilbun Pierce, 87, on March 21, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. from the Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
A resident of Lucedale, she passed away March 18, 2003. A native of Monroe, LA, she was a homemaker and a member of Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her eight children, Charles (Birdie) Hilbun of Lucedale, William “Billy” (Virginia) Hilbun of Houston, TX, James (Anita) Hilbun of Wedowee, AL. Mary Byrd, Joy (Grady) Landrum, Rachel (John) Collins, Donald Ray (Patsy) Hilbun, and Jerry (Janet) Hilbun, and one step-daughter, Glenda (Samuel) Hinton, all of Lucedale. She is also survived by fifty-one grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon F. Hilbun, Jr., husbands, Vernon F. Hilbun, Sr., and Tally Pierce. She was also preceded by her parents, Ollie Thomas Parker and Geneva McKeithen Parker.
Interment was in the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Holifield and Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating the services.
Pallbearers were Victor Hilbun, Mike Hilbun, Bill Hilbun, Tommy Greene, Bobby Byrd, Junior Hilbun, Mikey Hilbun, and Chris Moreland. Honorary pallbearers were the remaining grandsons.
Sigler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
