Bryant Rites Slated Today

Funeral services for a Monroe resident, Mrs. Edna E. Bryant, 53, are scheduled to be held at 3 p. m. Friday in the Calvary Baptist Church.

The Rev. L. L. Morris will officiate and burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.

A native of Casper [sic Jasper] County, Miss., Mrs. Bryant died Wednesday in a local hospital following a short illness.

Survivors include four sons, C. D., Gerald W., and Joe Lynn Bryant, all of Monroe, and George B. Bryant, with the U. S. Air Force at Laredo, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. J. H. Newcomer and Mrs. T. P. Meachem, both of Monroe; three brothers, Lamar Brady, Bogalusa, Carl Brady, Baton Rouge, and Lesslie Brady, Harrisonburg, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Franks, Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. James Krol, Rogal; and five grandchildren.
