Edna Mae Anders Crum

Aug. 14, 1915 -- July 3, 2004

GLOSTER -- Services for Edna Mae Anders Crum, 88, of Greenwell Springs, La., and formerly a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and Gloster, who died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center -- Mid City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy D. Crum officiating.

Burial will follow in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of the funeral home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Crum was born Aug. 14, 1915, in Amite County, the daughter of Henry Alton Anders and Carrie Jane Reeves Anders.

She was a homemaker and a member of Gloster United Methodist Church.

Our loved one will always be remembered for her beautiful yard and her love for flowers. Also, she enjoyed cooking and giving to those who were in need.

She now joins her husband, Troy, who will always be remembered for his gardens, which he shared with neighbors and friends, and his love for fishing and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 64 years, Troy P. Crum; an infant daughter, Myra Jo Ann Crum; two brothers, Grady Anders and Alton Anders; and one sister, Maxine Ivy.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Fortenberry, and her husband, Dub Fortenberry, both of Greenwell Springs; three grandchildren, Richard Fortinberry, Debbie Fortinberry and Donna Fortinberry, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Merle White of Centreville and Adeen Wilson and her husband, Dearl, both of Huntsville, Ark.; three brothers, Roddis Anders of Zachary, La., Raiford Anders of Centreville and Ben Anders and his wife, Sara Jo, both of Gloster.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Drs. Kenyatta Shamlin and Terry F. Kung for their special care and compassion to our loved one. We would also like to thank the Baton Rouge General Mid-City rehab unit, oncology unit, PT and OT departments for their excellent care.
