Edna Freeman

Funeral services for Edna Freeman, 73, of Ferriday, were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 24, in the Shady Grove Baptist Church, Jigger, with the Rev. Mack Walker and the Rev. Hershal Waller officiating.

Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

She was a housewife and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She died on March 21, 1987 in Ferriday.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank Whittington, Ferriday and Mrs. Joann ``Barney'' Lea of Jackson, Miss; one brother, Nolan Sanders, Winnsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Sowell, Crowville, Emma Woods, Wisner and Mrs. Staton Wiggins, Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stanley Lea, Marvin Edwards, Ferris Durham, Lannie Whittington, Ernie Newman and Dennis Whittington, grandsons of the deceased.
