Edrie Cathey Bowen

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral Services for Edrie Cathey Bowen, 86, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2001 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Jones, Associate Pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2001 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bowen, a native of Bienville, LA and 47 year resident of Shreveport, LA, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2001 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Bowen was the owner and operator of Bowen Grocery for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bowen, Sr.; four brothers; and one sister.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by her two sons, Fred Bowen, Jr. and wife, Pam of Carencro, LA and Edward Bowen of Pasadena, TX; two sisters, Eula Loe of Bienville, LA and Ezelle Randall of Winter Park, FL; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
