BARLOW
Mr. Edsel Currie Barlow, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 1, at his home in Gautier, Miss. He was born February 18, 1928, in Hattiesburg, Miss., to Willie Currie Barlow and Hilda Smith Barlow.
Mr. Barlow, a fan of all the great western songs and movies was a cowboy at heart. He also could be considered an environmentalist, having saved buckets of bent nails throughout his lifetime. He is survived by what he considered his greatest accomplishment, his wife of 59 years, Leta Barlow; three sons, Richard Michael (Mike) Barlow of Powell, Ohio; William (Billy) Edsel Barlow of Pace, Fla., and Stephen Gregory (Greg) Barlow of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two daughters, Virginia Lee (Jenny) DeMers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Leta Carol Nouri of Lincoln, Calif.; two brothers, Robert Gerald Barlow of Petal, Miss., and Derrick Douglas Barlow of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister, Clara Nell (Little Nell) Ross of Darby, Mont.; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
