E. G. ‘Buck’ Richmond

E. G. “Buck” Richmond, 80, a[n] automobile dealer, died Monday, October 1, 2007, at State Veteran's Home in Jackson. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service time. Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage is handling arrangements.

Mr. Richmond was born on April 1, 1927, in Leake County and lived most of his adult life in Hinds County, working many years as an automobile dealer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a lifelong servant of the Baptist faith and an active participant of all religious VA activities.

Mr. Richmond was preceded in death by his wife, Sue King Richmond.

He is survived by a daughter, Sue Beth Richmond Shurtleff and husband, Ralph, of Brandon; two grandchildren, Katie De Blasio (David) of Whispering Pines, N. C. and Will Shurtleff (Jamie) of Brandon.
