E. A. Rankin Rites Today
Edward A. (Jake) Rankin, 60, of 3533 Sunset Dr., died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Veterans Administration Hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Rankin retired as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force after 30 years service. He was a member of Broadmoor Methodist Church, Fair Park Masonic Lodge No. 436, Order of the Eastern Star chapter No. 18, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edward A. Rankin, and a daughter, Miss Adele Wainwright, both of Shreveport.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Osborn Funeral Home and burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ray Leach, A. M. Ashley, John Ingouf, Hugh Austin, Arthur Powell and Al Ingouf.
