Services for Edward Arvel Brown was held Sunday, April 18, 1993 at 2 P.M. from the Old Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Brown, 70 of Columbia died at 2:20 A.M. April 16, 1993 in North Monroe Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son: Charles Brown of Columbia, his daughters: Carolyn Suggs of Woodville, Ms., Anna Sanders of Grayson and Mary Elizabeth Brown of Columbia, his brothers: J. L. Brown of Toluca Lake, Ca. and Elvis Brown of San Francisco, Ca., his sister: Margaret May of Clarks, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers included Jim Malcom, Ray Hatten, Randy Hatten, Al Suggs, Timothy Dunbar, Ronnie Hatten and Edge Richardson.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Thompson, Slim Hodges, E. Lee Brown and Dick Reitzell.
