E. A. Hawthorne

Funeral services for Edward A. Hawthorne, 58-year-old contact mail carrier from Pineville, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home, with interment in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Hawthorne was killed Monday night when his station wagon left the road about eight miles north of Krotz Springs and crashed into a tree.

Officiating at the services were Rev. B. A. Bass, Rev. H. A. Thrasher, and Rev. Fred McClelland. Pallbearers were Oltis Stringer, Pervy Franklin, Arbye Hawthorne, A. D. Erwin, L. A. Stringer, and Ray Cockerham.
