Edward Crampton

Services for Edward Crampton will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Morris Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Semmes Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crampton, 83, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare Center. He was a certified public accountant and owned Certified Public Accounting in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was a graduate of Southern Methodist University. He will be remembered as devoted to his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie Crampton of Meridian; daughters, Linda Crampton of Austin, Texas, and Kay Crampton of Seattle; a son-in-law, Chuck McQuinn of Seattle; a granddaughter, Garland McQuinn of Providence, R.I.; a grandson, Luke McQuinn of Olympia, Wash.; a sister, Henrietta Jones of Meridian; a brother-in-law, Elmer Jones of Meridian; a brother, Roy Crampton of Meridian; a sister, Jane Smarr and her husband, Robert, of Columbia, Mo.

Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
