Edward Vaughn
A memorial service will be held Dec. 11 for Edward Clarence Vaughn of Eugene, who died Dec. 1 of a stroke. He was 76.
Vaughn was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Barberton, Ohio, to Clarence and Arlene Vaughn. He married Janet Hilden in Carson City, Nev., on July 2, 1972.
He attended Kent State University for one year and served in the Naval Air Corps during World War II.
In 1970, Vaughn moved to Eugene. He was a real estate broker and began working in 1979 for Area Real Estate Association. He joined Realty Executives in 1998.
Vaughn was a member of the Eagles and Elks lodges, Goshen Grange, Emerald Rotary and Central Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading and gardening.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cathy Dunnam of Stockton, Calif., and Amy Moody of Bellevue, Wash.; two brothers, Donald of Estill Springs, Tenn., and Roy of Akron, Ohio; and one grandchild. A son, Edward Jr., died previously.
The Dec. 11 service will be at 4 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church in Eugene. Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or the Eugene Mission.
