Edward Gerald Lawrence

Edward Gerald Lawrence, age 72, of West Monroe went to his heavenly home on Monday, May 23, 2011 after a brief illness. A Cremation-Memorial service will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe with Brother Mike Bartlett Officiating.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow for immediate family. Mr. Lawrence was born on April 22, 1939. He was a retired superintendent for Graphic Pkg.,Inc. for 39 years, a safety director for United Rentals and James Machine Works. He was on the board of directors for The Product Help Group. Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Coy Lawrence; his mother, Bertie McCarty Lawrence; sister, Cecilia Lawrence; infant brother, and infant twin daughter.

Survivors include: his fiancé Ms. Gail Suitor of West Monroe, LA. One daughter, Debbie Lawrence Bayles and husband, Kevin of West Monroe, LA; grandson, Tim Bayles of West Monroe, LA; granddaughter, Brandi Bayles Cole and husband, David of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter, Misty Bayles of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandson, Bryce Edward Bayles of West Monroe, LA; great granddaughter, Annie Cole of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Elbert Lawrence; sister, Margaret Redden; sister, Carrie Hill and nephews; Todd Lawrence, Tony Lawrence, Dennis Hill and niece, Patricia Schallhorn.
