MR. EDWARD JAMES STRANGE

Funeral services for Mr. Edward James Strange, 83, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 23, 2006 at Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Troy Shurte and Rev. Carl Shurte officiating. Burial will be in Luna Methodist Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Strange died January 21, 2006 at his residence.

Mr. Strange was a member of the Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe for over sixty years. He retired from Olinkraft, Inc. Plant 60 and served in the U. S. Navy as a radio dispatcher during World War II.

Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Freda Strange.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Burkett Strange; daughters, Frances Ballance and husband, Bo, Carol Kerrigan and husband, Willie, and Janice Chilton and husband, Kenny; step-daughter, Judy Dunn; sons, Charles (Bo) Strange, Glen Strange and wife, Pam, and the mothers of his grandchildren, Gwen Strange and Marilyn Strange; brothers, Joe Strange, Aaron Bowell and Junior Strange; sisters, Sharron Ledet, Leone Cross and Laverne Milby; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jay Chilton, Rodney Kerrigan, Tracy Strange, Jerremy Chilton, Todd Ballance, Nicki Kerrigan, Shane Ballance and Chuck Strange.

Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Kim Hanchey, Tanya Strange, Dana Strange, Melody Sullivan, Lisa Strange and Janie Sanders.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday at Living Way Apostolic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Way Jesus Giants.

The family would like to express their thanks to Patients Choice Hospice, Dr. Floyd Jones, Dr. Collins Coon, Dr. Tommy Parker and the staff at Eye Associates.
