Edward L. Godbold

FERRIDAY -- Services for Edward Lawrence Godbold will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Young's with the Rev. Karen Davis officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Natchez, Miss.

Godbold, 39, of Ferriday died Thursday, June 25 [sic 24], 1993, in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria.

He worked at a hydroelectric plant. He was a member of Sevier Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Huntington High School, Louisiana Tech University, Deep Sea Diving School of Houston, Texas, and was a lifetime member of the Louisiana Tech Alumni Association.

Survivors include two sons, James Edward “Jamie” Godbold and Lawrence Godbold, both of Ruston; his mother and stepfather, Geraldine Hendrixson Wiggins and Gordon Wiggins of Waterproof; four stepbrothers, John Wiggins and Lue Wiggins, both of Waterproof, Jim Wiggins of New Orleans and William David Clark of Bezoria, Texas; one stepsister, Debbie W. Floyd of Tampa, Fla.; and his grandmother, Goldie Hendrixson of Ferriday.

Pallbearers will be Mike Garretson, Euel Beard, Jammie Jacobs, Brent Taunton, Randy Miller, Perry Corbett, Louis Vogt and Andy Anders.

Friends may call from noon until time of services today in the funeral home.
