Edward M. Moore
Mr. Edward M. Moore, 68 of North Carolina, formerly of Roswell, went to be with the Lord after a brief illness with cancer on June 2, 2007.
Mr. Moore graduated from high school in Shreveport, LA and then graduated from the American Institute of Baking. Mr. Moore worked in the baking industry from the age of 17 and was a 48 year member of the American Institute of Baking. He owned and operated his own business for 32 years. He was a U. S. Amy veteran, a member of Lebanon Baptist Church for 30 years and since moving to North Carolina a member of Highlands First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Freddie James Morris and his parents, Charles and Lena Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Opal Morris Moore of North Carolina; daughters, Crystal and Chuck Dempsey of Highlands, NC and Monique and John Webb of Roswell; sons, Paul and LuAnn Moore of Mt. Airy, NC, and Leslie Stinnett and Billy Stinnett both of Arkansas; sister, Martha Wallette of Shreveport, LA; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Lebanon Baptist Church with Mr. Moore being placed in state at 10:00 AM. Dr. Richard Hester and Rev. Dan Robinson officiating. Entombment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 9 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, Roswell/Alpharetta, 770/645-1414.
