M. McGinty, Former Sch. Bd. Member, Dies

Funeral services for Mack McGinty, 59, of Montgomery, former president and 12 year member of the Winn Parish School Board, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion Methodist Church near Montgomery with Revs. Dorothy McGowen and George W. Horn officiating.

Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Masonic rites were also conducted at graveside.

Mr. McGinty died Friday, January 14, 1977 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston, Tex., after a lengthy illness. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Mount Zion Methodist Church, and a member of Montgomery Masonic Lodge No. 168.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie McGinty of Montgomery; two daughters, Mrs. Patty neal of Winnfield and Mrs Reba Motsinger of Irving, Tex.; one son, C. D. Ashlby of Irvin, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Lee McGinty of Montgomery; one brother, Willard H. McGinty of Montgomery, and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were R. L. Terry, Melvin Shaw, L. C. Kieffer, A. R. McGinty, James Snyder, and Don Horn.
