Edward Milo Corson

Ed was born May 13, 1923 in Lucas Co., Ohio to Robert Harold and Lillian Post Corson. He attended Ohio University after attending schools in Ohio. In 1943 Ed was in Service Army Air Force going thru training in Miami.

Ed was in the 308th bombardier on a radar equipped B24 with the 14 Air Force in China and the Pacific in WWII. His cousin said he was trapped in the nose of the B24 in the Pacific for 4 hours after the nose wheel collapsed on landing. There is a picture of Ed's B24 The Top of the Mark on the wall of a bar and also a display about them in a museum in Chungking. He retired in 1969 as a Lt. Colonel due to a disability.

Ed had 3 daughters and 2 sons as well as an adopted son who lived near him in Payson, Arizona in his later years. This was a great help as Ed had a profound hearing loss, and then later his eyesight started to go.

He lived in many places which included Ohio, Florida, California and Arizona. Ed was very interested in the financial market and kept updated on many things. He loved to visit family when he had the chance.

Ed died on June 20, 2012 in Prescott, Arizona and was buried in Washington National Cemetery with all honors, and his loving family around him on Sept.13, 2012.
