GLEASON, EDWARD RAY

Died 4 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1992, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 78, a native of Minden and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Department of Transportation and Development engineer, with 35 years of service, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Survived by wife, Ruth P. Gleason, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Beth G. Martin, Granbury, Texas, Anne G. Hyde, Lafayette, and Sandy G. Koerner, Morganton, N.C.; two sons, Michael R. Gleason, Ocean City, N.J., and Benjamin H. Gleason, Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Jane Turnipseed, Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Bob Mestayer, Seattle, Wash.; and nine grandchildren, Michelle, Mark, Matthew, Seth, Paul, Brandon, Jason, Kackie and Erika.

Preceded in death by parents; and a sister, Elsie Mullendore.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion.
