Edward “Ray” Eichelberger

A native of Baton Rouge and resident of Denham Springs, he died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 84, a retired Entergy/Gulf States employee and U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Tuesday, Nov. 30, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the religious service at 1 p.m.

Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Roma Hernandez Eichelberger; two daughters, Lynn Connor and husband Jerry, of Denham Springs, and Kathryn “Candy” Steele, of Beaumont, Texas; son, Gary Paul Emmons, of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands; sister, Norma Rose Hughes, of Rosedale; brother, Anthony Norman “Sonny” Eichelberger Jr.; six grandchildren, Lee, Anitra, Michael, Justin, Crystal and Jacquelyn; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

He was a loving grandfather who was known to his grandchildren as “TawTaw.”
