Edwin Earl Winters

Funeral services for Edwin Earl Winters, 85, of Tippo, native of Holcomb, were at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Winters died April 13, 2013, at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven.

He was born on Oct. 7, 1927, in Holcomb, to Winter Summer Winters and Betty Lou Coleman Winters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Farris Estelle Emmons Winters; and a daughter, Brenda Winters.

Mr. Winters is survived by his daughter, Joan Scallions of Tippo; a brother, Jessie Winters of Holcomb; and a grandson.
