Husband of Winn Native Dies In Shreveport
Egbert Eugene Bradford, 50, of Shreveport, died Friday, April 12, 1974 at 4
p.m. in Veterans Administration Hospital here following a short illness.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wellman Funeral
Home with Rev. Winberry, pastor of Southern Hills Church of Christ,
officiating. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park.
Mr. Bradford, a native of Alexandria and a Shreveport resident for the past 12
years, was manager of a Shreveport food store. He was a member of the
Southern Hill Church of Christ, Sigma Chi fraternity, and the American Legion.
He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jean Bradford, the former Jean Mixon,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mixon of Winnfield; a son, Thomas Eugene
Bradford of Bossier City; a daughter, Kim Bradford of Shreveport; a brother,
William M. Bradford of Alexandria; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy B. Burnum, his
mother, Mrs. W. C. Bradford of Alexandria.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mixon, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jerry Martin and children, Tami,
Greg, and Jed, of Winnfield, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Mixon, Mrs. and Mrs. J. C.
Mixon, Jr., and Ginger, all of Metairie, attended the last rites.
