Funeral services for Elbert D. King, 68, of Thicket will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery also in Silsbee. Mr. King died February 13, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Mr. King was a native of Bronson, Texas and had lived in Thicket for ten years he was a retired pipefitter out of Local 459.

Survivors include wife Vonita King of Thicket; sons Dewaine King of Lumberton and Stewart King of Ennis; daughters Debra Johnson of Vidor, Peggy Kolecki of Granbury, Janice Strawther of Silsbee and Sarah Caldwell of Ossian, Indiana; step-sons William Coward of Vidor, Orren Smith of Fred and Kevin Reese and Victor Reese both of Spurger; step-daughters Joyce Moore, Linda Watts, Tammy Callaway and Vonda Gore all of Fred, Essley Tucker of Woodville and Paje Denman of Vidor; brothers, Doyle King of Silsbee and Darrel King of Village Mills; sisters Jo Ann Frazier and Dorothy Porter both of Orange, and Mildred Chatelain of Woodville; thirty-four grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
