Elbert Isiah Richey

MANIFEST -- Services for Elbert Isiah Richey, 59, of Otis will be at 2 p.m. today in Pisgah Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Nugent and K.G. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Huffman Cemetery under direction of Kinner & Stevens, Jena.

He died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday in Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was a truck driver, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ester Richey of Otis; five sons, Freddie Richey and Mike Richey, both of Otis, Bobbie Richey of Pitkin, Marvin Richey of Lafayette, and Elliott Richey of Abbeville; two daughters, Sharon Yeley of Pitkin and Janice Richey of Otis; three brothers, William Richey Jr. and Charlie Richey, both of Hineston, and Kerry Richey of Manifest; six sisters, Romadee Whitemire of Pineville, Neva Lanier of Manifest, Lila Shipley of Jena, LaVerne Cockerham of Otis, Uneu Wright of Manifest, and Octavie Ainsworth of Enterprise; mother, Lillie Richey of Manifest; and 14 grandchildren.
