Elbert William Brady
Elbert William Brady, 88, of Mesa, passed away peacefully January 13, 2006. He was born in Manassa, Colorado on February 13, 1917. He and his wife Lora have lived in Mesa for the past 34 years where he owned his own business, Brady Pure Water. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many church callings as well as served as a missionary in the North Central States. He loved serving others, writing poetry, fishing, playing with his grandchildren and his dog Cutie, making others smile through his sense of humor but most of all he loved his wife Lora whom he was married to for 65 years.
Elbert is survived by his wife, Lora Wheeler; children, LeRoy Brady, Lorraine Ball, Carolyn Brady, Boyd Brady, Marilyn Wood, Kelly Brady; 25 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Elsie Allen. He is preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Terry Brady and his parents, Isom and Mae Brady. Elbert will be remembered for his honesty, loyalty, devotion to his wife, sense of humor and trying to live a Christ like life. He will be missed greatly but his example will live forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20th from 5-7:00 p.m., Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m., LDS Maricopa North Stake Center, 1718 N. Date, Mesa, AZ with a visitation one-hour prior to services.
