E. Ray Meeks, 62, of 3930 Hawthorne Drive died Monday in St. Dominic Hospital.
Funeral services are noon today from Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with burial at 2:30 p.m. in Louin Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Hylda Carr Meeks, a son, Eldon Ray Meeks Jr., a daughter, Renee Meeks, and two grandchildren, all of Jackson; a sister, [Mrs.] Virgil Roebuck of Lake; and three brothers, Bob Meeks, Foreat [sic Forest] Meeks and Delma Meeks, all of Louin.
Meeks was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, North Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 620, Knight Templar York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite Bodies, Wahabi Temple, Royal Court of Jesters No. 142, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North America, Order of the Eastern Star No. 47 and was a veteran of World War II.
