Eleanor Corban Tallarico

A lifelong resident of Gloster, Miss., she died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at her home.

She was born Nov. 24, 1923, to Grover Cleveland Corban and Lois Willis Whittington. She was a housewife.

She is survived by four daughters, Eleanor ``June'' Vallely and her husband, William ``Bill,'' Elaine Jenkins and her husband, Dennis, Angel Hawkins and her husband, Michael, and Darlene Williams and her husband, John; a son, John Paul Tallarico Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Nell Bennett, Patsy Helmly and her husband, Hugh, and Nena Sterling.

Preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Lois Corban; husband, John Tallarico Sr.; infant daughter, Evelyn Tallarico; six brothers, John Corban, Billy Corban, Alton Corban, Joel Corban, Lucien ``Sonny'' Corban and Robert Lee Corban; and three sisters, Hazel Foster, Earnestine Seale and Lucille Zeigler.

Visiting at Brown Funeral Home, Gloster, on Tuesday, June 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, June 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Funeral service at Holy Family Catholic Church, Gloster, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment in Roseland Cemetery.
