NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.-- Memorial services for Mrs. Elise Odom Curtis, 85, of Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, S.C., who died June 28, 2004, will be conducted this Thursday evening at 6 p.m., in the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Brown and Senator Thomas Moore officiating. Visitation will follow the Memorial Service.
Mrs. Curtis was a native of Louisiana, having made North Augusta her long time residence. She was of the Baptist Faith, actively involved in the Aiken County Democratic Party for more than 30 years, a member of the Board of Directors of the Margaret J. Weston Medical Clinic and served on the Foster Care Review Board.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Curtis; her mother, Katie Campbell; and her brother, Clarence Odom.
Mrs. Curtis is survived by a sister-in-law, Ida Odom, Ft. Pierce, Fla.
At her wishes, Mrs. Curtis donated her body to the Medical College of Georgia.
