Mrs. Phillips Dies At Yazoo

Mrs. Ella Mae Phillips, 57, died Thursday at the King Daughters Hospital in Yazoo City following a long illness.

Mrs. Phillips was born and reared in Carthage and was the widow of William Robert Phillips, Sr. who died in 1954. She had lived in Yazoo City for two years. She had been a resident of Crystal Springs twenty-three years, then moved to Jackson where she lived for 15 years before moving to Yazoo City.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Woodrow Barber of Jackson and Mrs. Larnel Lyles of New Orleans, La.; one son, William Robert Phillips of Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. J. S. Pickett of Georgia, Mrs. L. H. Williams of Florence and Mrs. Doug Webb of Vicksburg; two brothers, Ross Kemp, Crystal Springs, and Clodie Kemp, Clover City, California; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held from Baldwin Chapel and interment will be made in Lakewood Memorial Park. The hour and date for the service will be announced by Baldwin Funeral Home.
