Mrs. Emmons, 83

BUNKIE, La. -- Mrs. Ella Emmons, 83, of St. Landry died at 2:15 p.m. Monday in a Bunkie clinic. She was a native of Chicot.

She is survived by three sons, Daniel Emmons of West Monroe, Wallace Emmons of Centerville and Homer Emmons of St. Landry; two step-sons, C. S. Emmons of Cheneyville and Willie Emmons of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Carpenter of St. Landry and Mrs. J. A. Stewart of Forest Hill; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lee Byrd of St. Landry; a brother, Coite Soileau of Ville Platte, and a sister, Mrs. Adolph Andrus of Ville Platte.

Funeral services were to be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Lone Pine Baptist church at Lone Pine with Rev. Sidney McMorris officiating. Burial was to be in the Griffin Hill cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Bunkie.
