Wednesday Rites Held In Liberty For Mrs. Terrell
LIBERTY -- Funeral services were held from Liberty Methodist Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Mrs. George Terrell, 69, who passed suddenly away Monday evening at 6 at the family residence six miles northwest of Liberty.
Mrs. Terrell had been in failing health for about a year. She had been to Centreville during the afternoon Monday to get a routine check-up by her physician, Dr. R. J. Field. Having returned home about 4:30, she and her husband were seated in the house when death occurred.
She leaves her husband, George Terrell, justice of the peace for the 1st District in Amite County; a daughter, Mrs. Percy Nix of Oak Grove, La.; four sons, Bertram and Bob Terrell of near Liberty, Lonnie Terrell, Baton Rouge, and Sam Terrell, Stockdale, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. John S. Nunnery, Smithdale; Mrs. Mary May and Mrs. Mrs. W. H. Reynolds of Liberty; Mrs. E. H. Maddox and Mrs. A. N. Boyd, both of San Antonio, Tex.; three brothers, C. E. Wilkinson of Holly Grove, Ark.; J. M. Wilkinson of Jackson, La.; and H. J. Wilkinson of Liberty; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
