MRS. ELLA KIRKSEY

Mrs. Ella Kirksey, wife of E. L. Kirksey, died at her home, 1101 Melwood Avenue, this morning at 5:30 o'clock after a lingering illness of several months. Funeral services by Rev. W. R. Hornburg were held this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock with interment in Jenkins Springs cemetery.

Ella Warnac [sic Womack] was born in Louisiana February 11, 1866. She came to Texas with her parents locating in Brown county when nine years of age. She was married to E. L. Kirksey on December 23, 1880. She was the mother of fourteen children, twelve of whom survive her and all of whom were at her bedside when death came. Mrs. Kirksey was a devoted wife and mother and a true Christian woman who was not afraid of death but was ready to face her Master when the summons came.

Surviving her beside her husband are: Jim, Louis, Roy, Raymond, Jeffers, Jennie, Mae, Joel and Mrs. Marvin Flowers of Brownwood, Mrs. Monroe Curry of Killeen and Lester Kirksey of Fort Worth.
