Mr. Ellis E. Prince
SHREVEPORT - Services for Mr. Ellis E. Prince, 88, of Shreveport will be at 1 p.m. Monday February 20, at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield, La. Brother Eddie Dehondt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.
Mr. Prince passed away at 12:17 a.m. Saturday February 18, 1989, at the Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. He served as a member and a Deacon of Summergrove Baptist Church in Shreveport. He was a barber and also a member of the barber's union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ava Lee Simmons Prince and a great-grandson, John Eric King.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Glenwell and Bobby Joe King of Greenwood, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, John Carvel and Patsy Prince of Longview, Texas; one brother, Dr. B. Earl Prince of Monroe, La.; five grandchildren, Bobby Joe King, Jr. of Houston, Texas, John Belton King of Bossier City, Jan McKinnon of Greenwood, La., John C. Prince, Jr. of Slidell, La., Patti Kathleen Prince of Shreveport; seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
