Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today in Delhomme Bertrand Chapel of the Flowers for Ellis Wayne Jones, 52, who died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 1992 at his residence in Lafayette.
The Rev. Mike Walker, pastor, East Bayou Baptist Church, will conduct the services.
Interment will take place in Hargis Cemetery in Hargis.
Survivors are: his wife, the former Barbara O'Banion of Lafayette; his mother, Viola B. Jones of Colfax; two sons, Gregory Jones and Ronald Jones, both of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Ashton (Kimberly) Sharbano of Lafayette; two sisters, Velma Fletcher of Montgomery, La. and Olene Harrison of Colfax; and one granddaughter, Brittany Sharbano.
Jones is preceded in death by his father, Lee Otis Jones.
He was a native of Winnfield and a resident of Lafayette for the past 26 years and worked for H & S Construction Co. since moving to Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Teddlie, Terry Teddlie, Trent Teddlie, Nardie Harrison, R. D. Jock, and Jerald Hanchey.
Visiting hours will be observed today from 7:30 a.m. to service time.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Dr., is in charge of arrangements.
