Mrs. Wilkinson Dies In Jackson; Funeral Wednesday

Mrs. L. G. Wilkinson, of 3804 Spurgeon Drive, Monroe, died in a Jackson, Miss., hospital early Monday. She was on a visit there and was stricken with a heart attack which caused her death in a few hours.

The body will arrive in Monroe late Monday and will be taken in charge by the Peters Funeral Home. The funeral will be held in the College Place Baptist church Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the pastor, Reverend Ogg, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial park cemetery.

Mrs. Wilkinson was a native of Mississippi but had resided in Monroe since 1933. She was a former school teacher in McComb, Miss., and later in Lake Charles, La.

She was active in mission circles in the College Place church and had a wide acquaintance in the Twin Cities.

She leaves her husband, L. G. Wilkinson; three brothers, J. E. Hargrove, in Jordon [sic Jordan], Holy Land; Dr. H. H. Hargrove, pastor of a Baptist church in Brownwood, Tex. and Allen S. Hargrove, Hattiesburg, Miss.; five sisters, Mrs. H. E. Mosley, New Orleans; Mrs. E. L. Boggan, Birmingham, Ala.; Miss Glenda Hargrove; Mrs. H. Thurmond Lewis and Mrs. J. E. Nettles, all of Jackson, Miss.
